DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ELGIGANTEN

I bought Apple Airpods on 03.06.2024.

The left airpod stopped working properly after two and a half months, so I submitted the airpods together with the case for repair on 20.08.2024. stating that the left earpod doesn't work. People in the repair center DID NOT TEST them at all, they just replaced the earpods (or at least that is what they said), so when I received them back THEY STILL DIDN'T WORK.

So I submitted them for repair again on 04.09.2024. Then the person at the customer service taking in the case with the airpods tested it, and stated on the repair request that the fault is in the case and not the airpods.

On 12.09.2024. I received an update from the repair center that I need to pay 1042.50 DKK (more than half the price of a new product, which is 1799 DKK) for a repair, because the damage was physical and self-inflicted.

The damage was physical, that is true, because one of the charging pins inside the case was gone, but it can in no way be self-inflicted as those pins can't even be reached due to the design of the case, which leads to the obvious conclusion that the item itself was faulty.

I wrote to the repair center, they brushed me off. I wrote to the Customer Service, they just repeated that I am not entitled to repair or compensation because I broke the case, which is a baseless lie. I guess they think they don't have to honor the warranty when dealing with someone who is not of Scandinavian descent.

In the end the item was returned to me without repair on 26.09.2024.

Poor business ethics, poor customer service and poor experience in general.
